Who We Are

AST is a full-service environmental abatement provider to both the commercial and residential markets.

Our company has extensive experience in the asbestos, lead paint, and microbial (mold, bacteria, etc.) abatement industries. We are spearheaded by our President and Managing Director, Dave McEwan. Dave is a successful entrepreneur responsible for creating over 7 innovative companies. Just prior to acquiring controlling interest in AST in 1993, he was Vice President and a Corporate Officer of Chemical Waste Management, Inc. from 1985 to 1992. From 1968 to 1985 Dave held a variety of positions at Borg Warner Corporation. After joining Borg Warner Chemicals in 1968, he held positions in Finance, Sales, Production and Marketing. In 1982, Dave moved to the York Air Conditioning division of Borg Warner Corporation where he was Vice President and General Manager of the Engineered Machinery Division.

Our Team

Not only do we say our personnel is the most highly trained team in the industry, we back it up. In addition to the require EPA, OSHA and HUD training, AST requires its employees to attend a 40-hour Hazwoper program, mold, bacteria and other microbial training, and the 10-hour OSHA construction-training course. Our dedicated employees average over 10 years experience in the industry. Then we take all of that training and experience and put it into action. We take great pride in not only our attention to detail, but our commitment to deliver exactly what we say we are going to deliver. You won't find us continuously changing our bid throughout the process of the project...or issuing costly change orders.
